Douro and Port Wine Institute celebrates “Port Wine Day 2025”

The Douro and Port Wine Institute (IVDP, IP) will hold an Open Day on September 10th, dedicated to the region's wine.

The historic IVDP, IP building was chosen as the meeting point between tradition and modernity. This event is open to everyone, from the curious to wine lovers. The experience begins at 10:00 AM and runs until 7:00 PM.

The initiative features a variety of activities, including guided tastings, exhibitions, behind-the-scenes tours of the certification process, and the opening of a Vintage bottle. It was designed to demonstrate that wine is more than just a beverage.

In addition to this Open Day, Port Wine Day will run until October with three events aimed at promoting Port wine.

On September 27th, a Sunset Party will take place at Mercado do Bolhão in Porto. On September 29th, a Masterclass for Professionals will be held in the Salão Nobre of the IVDP in Porto. And finally, on October 10th, a ceremony titled "Douro + Sustentável" will take place at the Teatrinho Reguense.
